Celebrate Reading Week~~November 12-16, 2012
Each day we are going to celebrate reading at Calvert Elementary. We are going to have a lovely week and learn how "Reading Takes Us Places!" Every day a story will be read by a "famous reader." Watch your email for a link to the story of the day. Teachers can lend the library a picture from when they graduated high school or college. We can help tie in the fact that readers graduate!
Monday, November 12th--Graduate Into a Great Book! Students and teachers can wear a college shirt. Teachers remember, college shirt must have a collar and no jeans.
Tuesday, November 13th--Wave Your Hats and Cheer--Students and teachers can wear a favorite hat to cheer them into the college spirit.
Wednesday, November 14th--Peace for Pie (teachers only)/Students can wear peace signs and beads to become a throwback to the 60's!
Thursday, November 15th--Storybook Parade--be sure to sign up on the bulletin board in the workroom with your class' book. (see handout below for more details)
Friday, November 16th--Be a Reading "Jean"-us! Wear your jeans and a college shirt (with a collar). Students can wear jeans and college shirts or Calvert spirit shirts.
Below you will find a copy of all the Reading Week Information, if you need another copy!
